Willmott Dixon are looking to recruit a Commercial Manager/ Lead to work on a 126-million-pound project in Plymouth. As commercial lead you will provide commercial and technical support throughout preconstruction reviewing and agreeing contract conditions and provide the commercial leadership to the project, ensuring that we procure and deliver within budget and to the highest quality whilst exceeding our customers' expectations.

Your initial project will be the new Emergency Care Centre at Derriford hospital, this project is marking a significant step forward in enhancing healthcare infrastructure and services. Spanning across 17,000 square meters, this purpose-built facility is poised to revolutionise emergency care provision, offering advanced amenities and streamlined processes aimed at optimising patient outcomes and experience.

Reporting to our Director, you will be responsible for

Consistently promote the company values treating our customer relationships as our most asset
Negotiate and agree all contract conditions.
Manage commercial activities for one large project or across several projects, maintaining a high level of commercial
and financial control.
Actively develop and strengthen relationships with customers, supply chain and their teams to maximise team and business goals.
Develop, motivate, and retain surveying people within the delivery team.
Work with delivery teams to ensure ownership of
Ensure a well thought out and considered cost to complete is prepared by the team and is updated monthly and take responsibility with the Director, for ensuring that all delivery team people take ownership/responsibility as necessary in its delivery.
Ensure that CVC/CTC reports are accurately completed to reflect the current position on site and the final profit projection.
Ensure operational team reports are accurately completed in conjunction with Director and reflect current status of all schemes.
Take an active role in the development of business strategy and initiatives within the group.Essential and Desirable Criteria

Proven experience of:

Extensive knowledge of relevant computer software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
A detailed knowledge of relevant contract conditions.
A full successful track record in leading financial management and cost control on high value projectsDesirable

Healthcare project experience
Construction related degree.
MCIOB or RICS
Good level of experience in dispute resolution and contract administration.In return we offer
