The job is based in Bristol. You need to be willing to relocate to Bristol before starting the job.

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Shift Pattern: Standard week, 40 hours.

The role:

As a CNC operator, you will be able to design and create programmes required to produce commercial vehicle shelving and panelling. You will be required to operate a (2) two and three (3) axis CNC panel router cutting a variety of plywood and MDF panels.

The role will involve close liaison with a small team and will involve flexibility to complete tasks within deadlines required within a fast-moving industry.

Some of the duties will include:

* Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate metal parts according to specification

* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job order

* Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job

* Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and productivity

* Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications

* Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning

* Safe operation of machine including Risk Assessments

* Ability to convert templates into machining files for production

Skills:

* Technical knowledge of machine

* Competent with Alphacam software

* Competent with Solid Works

* Ability to convert templates into machining files for production

* The upkeep and maintenance of machine on a planned basis

* Ability to understand program codes

* Problem solving

* Maintenance to include greasing/cleaning etc

* Tool changing/calibration and arranging re-sharpening

* Produce production sheets for wood shop on daily basis
