Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist seeking a rewarding opportunity in the picturesque city of Bristol? We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly motivated professional to join our team at a 77-bed specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care service for male and female patients. 

Position Overview:

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will have the opportunity to work within our male-only psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU). The service accepts admissions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from local NHS Trusts and other parts of the UK. We seek to appoint a highly-motivated Consultant Psychiatrist to complement our existing medical work force. As a Consultant Psychiatrist you would lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals from nursing, clinical psychology, social work and occupational therapy, and a Specialty Doctor. The hospital operates a non-residential medical on-call rota and the post holder is expected to participate on the on-call rota.

Key Requirements:

Hold a CCST or CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of Psychiatry
MRCPsych or equivalent
AC approved and S12 approved MHA 1983
You will have experience at consultant level in psychiatry and will have held a consultant position in the NHS.
You will hold a current license to practice and be on the appropriate specialist register
Experience in working with multi-disciplinary team and being a clinical leader
Acute inpatient and outpatient experience
Have experience working with men in a secure service setting.
