Are you an experienced Mathematics Teacher (QTS or ETC) with affinity and/or interest working amongst pupils with a range of autistic & behavioural needs? Pertemps are offering a paid-to-scale (up to £47000 base) Permanent Teacher of Mathematics role to start as soon as possible in 2024 or following notice period.

We are happy to partner alongside an Independent Special School in Southampton focusing towards the Education & Intervention for pupils with diagnosed High Functioning Autism Spectrum Condition & Social Emotional Mental Health behaviour needs. The school boasts an Outstanding Ofsted report, which is an excellent expression of the schools approach to learning and competency. To achieve Outstanding within SEND is an excellent hallmark of potential, let alone amongst the realms challenging behaviour.

Currently the school works around 50 dedicated pupils between the ages of 11 and 19, with developments across the school year aiming for double that by September 2024. This means classroom count is small, with a high support ratio.

The post is Full Time Monday to Friday, and honours the national Teaching payscale.

Pertemps expectations of accreditation or experience:

QTS (PGCE) or Early Careers Teachers (ECT's) are ideal and will be preferred.
Unqualified or Instructor Level candidates familiy with the SEN Mathematics curriculum WOULD be considered, especially as interim solutions. If you got on extremely well, the school would consider you for a Permanent & Salaried role after an initial temporary period.
