Are you a talented mechanical or aerospace engineer looking for a varied and exciting engineering role within a market leading Aerospace company working with the biggest and the best international Aerospace clients every day, where you will be in a crucial role, driving new product development and managing cutting edge projects for an innovative and market leading manufacturer?

Would you like to lead design and process projects from inception all the way to delivery with complete autonomy over your schedule, budget, R&D, manufacturing and process, driving product and process throughout the organisation and adding tangible value to a rapidly advanced company which works with the biggest names in Aerospace including Airbus and Boeing.

The company have been established since 2001, and specialise in the manufacture of highly-engineered polymer products, specifically focused on seal-based products for Aerospace.

Currently experiencing an increasing demand for their products and solutions, they are now looking to add a Lead Design / Project Engineer to the team.

You will be responsible for creating and improving products and processes, providing technical support to sales, production, the quality teams and external clients and suppliers, creating product drawings and mould designs, and managing various NPI / NPD projects.

The Role:

Utilize CATIA and Solidworks to create product drawings, mould designs and process flows
Develop new products, and improve existing products
Work with internal and external stakeholders to create, improve, test and design products / processes
Review client technical specifications and requirements to provide high quality, cost effective solutions
Work with subcontractors and suppliers to source tools, components and materials
Complete products inspection and testing during prototyping phases, troubleshooting potential issues
Manage bespoke manufacturing projects from quote through to delivery
Define process to be used for part manufacture, and produce planning used by manufacturing and suppliers to fabricate/assemble the productThe Person:

Background in Manufacturing
