MANE are currently looking for a UKAS RG2 category 3 Inspection Engineers to work onshore in the Southampton region. The role on offer will involve in-service plant inspections.
Tasks and Responsibilities of an Inspection Engineer:
Preparation of WSEs in accordance with the Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR).
Preparation of inspection work scopes to satisfy the Written Schemes of Examination. (WSE) I.e. specify access, insulation removal and NDT requirements.
Carry out invasive visual examinations of major pressure systems in accordance with the WSE. Typical equipment found on site: Process pipework, pressure vessels, heat ex-changers, distillation columns, PRVs and storage tanks.
Interface with NDT team to provide clarification on NDT inspection techniques in order to meet integrity objectives.
Preparation of high quality inspection reports, accurately describing the assets condition.
Grade corrosion against company procedure corrosion scales. Raise mandatory defects when the acceptable limits have been breached.
Review PRV certification. Ensure the device is correctly set and is overhauled/tested on a set frequency.
Review WSE and inspection frequency post inspection to confirm accuracy and relevancy.
Participate in the Risk Based Assessment programme for pressure systems equipment
