Distribution Sales Manager (Racking & Storage)

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of various racking and storage solutions looking to recruit a new Regional Distribution Sales Manager to cover and develop their client base in postcodes across the South of England. With excellent, uncapped commission opportunities and scope for growth, this is a great opportunity for an experienced racking sales professional or an individual from another background looking for a new opportunity within trade/distribution sales.

Responsibilities

· Manage 30+ distributor’s across a given region in assisting in the sale of racking, shelving, lockers, workbenches and other storage products

· Assist internal design teams with 2D drawings to provide the best solutions

· Be a representation of the distributors on customer’s sites by conducting survey’s and advising on storage products

· Identify & develop new distributor relationships in the sale of pallet racking, lockers and related equipment across your region

· Identify product gaps to ensure distributors make best use of the company products

Requirements

You will ideally be an experienced racking sales professional from a similar background within trade/distribution. However, our client are open to considering individuals from another background provided you have some level of 2D CAD/design skills and have experience of working through the trade. Equally, the company are willing to consider both technical professionals within the racking sector or sales professionals from an end user focused background who are seeking a slight career change. Ultimately, you will be both customer focused and technically focused able to become the go to person for trade customer’s in relation to all the organization’s products. Given you may be managing a large region, the position also requires an individual who appreciates the need to travel with the possibility of some overnight stays.
