Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Location: Reading, Berkshire.

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.

Working Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday - Friday

About The Role:

The company is a leading supplier and maintainer of renewable Power Generation equipment nationwide and are looking to bring on board a Gas Generator Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have hands on Generator Experience, and will have experience across fault finding, diagnosis, maintenance and repair.

The successful candidate will be working within the team on a wide portfolio of projects including hands-on installation, maintenance, service and repairs on a varied range of gas generators and associated equipment.

The ideal candidate must show the ability to work within a team and as an individual.

The role will include travel and you will need a full Driving licence for this position.

Generator Engineer Position Overview:

* To service equipment on customer sites and to respond to call-outs when needed

* To work on the repair and maintenance of Generators and associated equipment

* To assist in the build, packaging and installation of gensets within our workshops

* To assist with the loading, unloading and installation of generators and other projects

* Travelling nationwide as required and occasional overnight stays

Candidate Requirements:

* Previous experience in a Service Engineer position essential with the ability to work autonomously

* Strong working knowledge of plant equipment, specifically Gas Engines, control panels and associated equipment

* Good analytical and problem-solving skills with first-hand experience with Fault Finding, Diagnosis, Maintenance and Repair

* Generator experience specifically, would be advantageous

* Experience with ComAp advantageous

* ​A comprehensive understanding of electrical health & safety regulations

* Ability to assist with site installations and cable installs where necessary

* Ensures completion of all daily, weekly and task specific documentation

* Liaises with clients on site and resolves issues

* Any other duties reasonably requested.

* Full Driving licence

* Preferably based within the M4 corridor area.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous Generator Experience / Qualifications

Mechanical & electrical experience necessary

18th edition City and Guilds / City and Guilds Test and Inspect (phone number removed) would be advantageous

PLC Experience (nice to have)

ECS Card desirable

Engine Experience

Fuel Systems

Minor & Major Service Experience
