Options Resourcing have been tasked by one of our high-profile clients to source a Roofing Estimator to work directly under the Senior Estimator.
Our client offers comprehensive design and construction services directly to owners and facilities management companies. Known for superior workmanship, they handle projects from initial design concepts to final build completion. With a client base that includes government bodies, local authorities, office and industrial organizations, and retail outlets across the UK, they are a trusted name in the industry.

Our client has built its reputation on a wealth of technical expertise and experience. They operate in the commercial, residential retail and industrial sector working on flat roofs, pitched roofs, green roofs, guttering, cladding, and over-roof requirements. They are members of The National Federation of Roofing Contractors and are independently audited by CHAS, Constructionline Gold, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.

Position:
Estimator for Roofing and Cladding Projects

Location:
Southampton / Portsmouth Area

Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs for roofing and cladding projects accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare detailed quotations and keep clients informed throughout the process.
- Ensure all necessary information is available for accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with the pre-contract team for effective tender planning.
- Provide value engineering and best-value proposals.
- Conduct project analysis and prepare take-offs for procurement.
- Participate in handover meetings with the post-contract team.
- Attend pre-contract and post-tender meetings.
- Identify process improvements and optimize strike rates.
- Support the team with technical knowledge and manage variations.

Ideal Candidate:
- Have roofing experience, with cladding experience being preferable.
- Be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in an estimating role within the roofing and cladding industry.
- Be proficient in Excel, Outlook, Teams, and optionally Bluebeam.
- Have experience with on-screen estimating tools.
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Live in the Southampton - Portsmouth area, near the office.
- Be willing to start as an assistant estimator and grow into a fully qualified estimator role.
- Be open to office-based work initially, with the flexibility to work from home after settling in.
- Have site and management experience (preferred but not essential).
