LABOURER REQUIRED TO SUPPORT IN HOUSE WORKSHOP DEPARTMENTS
Hours: Mon – Fri, 7pm-5pm.
Location: Workshop based, Milton Keynes.
Main Objective of a ‘Labourer’: To provide general labour and maintenance support within a busy wood workshop environment.
Skills & Attributes:
* Pro active, reliable, and physically able to manual handle.
* Friendly and happy to assist other departments in the workshop where required.
* Has general knowledge of health and safety awareness.
* Tidy by nature.
* Carpentry experience deirable.
* Familiar with use of basic carpentry hand tools desirable.
Main responsibilities of a ‘Labourer’:
* Assemble carcasses, and other basic furniture assembly work tasks.
* Wrap, pack and label finished items, ready for install.
* Assist workshop departments to manoeuvre, load, and unload items ready to go to site to be installed.
* Maintain production service areas, ensuring machines and equipment areas are kept tidy.
* Assist with emptying dust extractors.
* Ensure fire escape routes are kept clear and free from obstruction.
* Pack and dispose rubbish in recycling bins, keeping loading bay free from obstruction.
* *Pick up supplies from local suppliers where required, with use of company vehicle.
* *Occasional delivery of samples/items/tools to fitters onsite, with use of a company vehicle.
* *Receive Goods-In (Forklift License required, training provided)
*Full Clean UK Driving License (beneficial, though not required).
*Forklift license is (advantage).
