We’re supporting our client, a leading Injection Moulding manufacturer based in Sutton Coldfield, who are looking for a CNC Miller to join their growing team. The successful CNC Miller will have experience of one off’s, CNC Milling and Programming.
Position Overview: As a CNC Miller, you'll be a vital part of the toolroom, ensuring the seamless functioning of our equipment and facilities. Your primary focus will be on CNC Milling and programming.
Responsibilities for CNC Miller:
* Maintain standards of Housekeeping and Health & Safety
* Manufacture of new tooling to engineering drawings in line with timing plans.
* Carrying out proactive maintenance and up keep on milling machines.
* Liaise with toolmakers, Cad/Cam programmers and Designers.
* Investigate issues to find root causes passing information back to the design department and management so issues can be avoided in future.
* Maintain tooling to the correct standards and keep stock of all tools and holders.
* Working in a systematic fashion following any instructions available,
* Maintain cutters and equipment.
* Working to 5S’s
* Adhere to company quality awareness.
* Meeting Health and Safety standards supporting others to do the same
* Assist other areas of the business when required to carry out the same or similar tasks
About You:
* Must be a team player
* Must be a self-starting individual, capable of working to tight tolerances either individually or as part of the team
Essential:
* Time severed toolmaking apprenticeship
* Time served CNC Miller Setter, Operator Programmer.
* Understanding technical drawings
* 5 years CNC Milling setting, Operator Programmer
* Toolroom based CNC Miller
Desirable:
* Maths Grade C or higher
* English Grade C or higher
* Manual milling
* EDM experience
* Wire experience
* Bench experience
* IOSH training
* Six sigma training
* 5S training
* Proficient with Hurco and Heidenhain
* Plastic injection mould tool experience
