Job Title: Support Worker 

Location:London: Cover areas in Willesden OR Perivale OR Neasden 

Salary: £30K per annum 

Hours of Work: Full Time (Monday to Friday) with Hybrid Working Options 

Our clients are the market leaders in their specialist field, providing support for housing needs to over 70 Local Authorities. 

We are looking for experienced Support Workers who have strong office skills and a basic understanding of the Social Housing Sector. 

You will provide high-quality support to individuals with a wide range of needs, offering support with daily living and promoting independence.  

Duties of a Support Worker: 

Identify needs and provide support for a variety of users from different backgrounds. 

Support individuals with daily tasks, including prompting medication, budgeting plans, attending appointments, and engaging with external support services. 

Monitor, identify, and promote safeguarding practices while following the whistleblowing procedure to raise any concerns. 

Liaise with appropriate external professionals regarding tenants’ changing needs. 

Inspect properties to ensure rooms are ready for new tenants to move into, promoting safe use of communal areas and private rooms within the property. 

Ensure relevant health and safety checks are carried out in accordance with policies and procedures and report any issues. 

Participate in team meetings, new initiatives, and future changes to improve service delivery. 

Respect confidentiality and data protection regulations (GDPR). 

Work with Housing Officers to provide advice and support to tenants with various housing-related occupancy issues. 

Complete paperwork that supports the tenants' needs, reporting on these daily to monitor individuals. 

Participate in training to progress your skills and knowledge. 

Monitor the security within the property and report any concerns. 

Skills and experience: 

NVQ 4 or equivalent professional qualification in Care Support and Supervision (desirable). 

Previous experience in supported housing management, including property maintenance (desirable). 

Knowledge of housing legislation and license agreements (desirable). 

Effective written and verbal communication skills at all levels. 

Team player able to work with people from diverse backgrounds. 

Numeracy skills. 

PC literate, organized, and able to prioritize tasks. 

Able to display an enthusiastic, caring, and non-judgmental approach. 

Keen to develop and generate ideas to solve immediate and long-term needs and problems. 

Ability to work flexibly. 

UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
