Are you an experienced Sustainability Manager with a strong background in construction and a passion for environmental impact? Our client, a leading Main Contractor in the construction industry, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Sustainability Manager.
Salary: £50k - £70k Depending on experience
Location: Bromley Area
Role Overview: As a Sustainability Manager, you will play a key role in driving sustainability initiatives across various construction projects. You will be responsible for implementing sustainable practices, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and contributing to the company's commitment to green building standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement sustainability strategies and policies in line with industry standards such as BREEAM and SKA.
* Collaborate with design teams and pre-construction departments to integrate sustainability measures into project planning and bids.
* Conduct sustainability assessments and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
* Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Engage with stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors to promote sustainable practices and initiatives.
* Provide technical expertise and support on sustainability-related matters throughout the project lifecycle.
* Contribute to the development of sustainable procurement practices and materials selection.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Sustainability Manager within the construction industry.
* Familiarity with green building certifications such as BREEAM and SKA.
* Technical background ideally from a Design or Pre-Construction perspective.
* Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability principles.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in sustainability or environmental management are desirable.
