Goods In and Despatch Operative
£27,000, Burgess Hill, Monday to Friday, 10am - 6:30pm, 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Free lunch, pension, parking
The Role
We are delighted to be working with our client, a commercial bakery and food production business, in their search for a Goods in and Despatch Operative to join their team. Working as part of the Warehouse team, this role will see you operating and monitoring packing equipment to ensure efficient and accurate packaging of food products.
Take receipt of products and accurately complete paperwork and upload stock information into database
Store goods quickly ensuring they are labelled correctly and rotated
Unload vehicles using a counter-balance Forklift (licence preferred)
Undertake daily FLT checks
Ensure required resources (packaging materials, ingredients, products, equipment etc.) are available and ready for use, for the Production and Packaging departments
Pick and pack products
Prepare orders for despatch
Requirements
To be successful in the role of goods in and Despatch Operative, we are looking for someone who ideally has some experience in a goods-in / warehousing environment. Food manufacturing experience would be great, but not essential. Ideally you will have a counterbalance FLT licence as well as a car licence due to sometimes needing to use the FLT on the road to unload deliveries. This role could suit someone who has worked as a food production operative, warehouse operative or forklift driver.

Package
£27,000 per annum depending on experience
Monday to Friday 10am - 6:30pm
23 days holiday + 7 bank holidays + lieu day (the business work on Good Friday) (3 days to be used in Christmas shutdown)
