Civil Engineer (Rail & Civils)

The role

My client, one of the UK's leading private Engineering Consultancies, are looing to expand their team following a continued increase in workload. The role is part of their Rail & Civils team within the Glasgow office. My client are looking for a Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer, providing you with a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide range of public and private clients, dealing with a variety of disciplines and projects, ranging from Rail Station Footbridges, Road Bridges, Coastal Defences and large scale UK wide infrastructure projects.

As part of this role, you'll be:

* Prepare calculations and documentation of engineering projects.

* Liaise with other members of the design team to achieve a co-ordinated design.

* Undertake analysis and design using a range of software packages including finite element analysis such as LUSAS or Midas.

* Develop design and co-ordination skills to progress as an Engineer.

* Undertake client relationship management.

Ideally, you'll have:

* Chartered or approaching Chartered status through ICE or IStructE

* Relevant experience of civil and structural engineering problem-solving and development of sound engineering solutions.

* Good report writing communications and numerical skills.

* Flexible and enthusiastic approach of working within a team structure.

* Confidence and ability to take responsibility of work on projects, small and large.
