2020 Recruitment is working with our national engineering client who are looking to add an Excavator Machine Operator to their team based at Methil. This will be an initial 6 month contract position. The successful candidate will frequently visit our clients Livingston office in and some offshore travel may be required.
As the Excavator Machine Operator, you will require to have knowledge to and follow work instructions, SDS, relevant procedures and safety rules for the work, including participation in toolbox meetings. You will be required to undertake checks on the excavator and log this ensuring that all work is within capacity of excavator’s safety margins.
Role Responsibilities:
* Operate Excavator
* Have optimal communication with other personnel involved in the work operation, and make sure that relevant area is cordoned-off
* Make sure that valid PTW is present
* Make sure that the excavator is in trusted areas regarding deck capacity, and that necessary deck-reinforcement is made if needed
* Excellent housekeeping practices
* Participate in relevant TRAs, documented by signature
* Participate in relevant Toolbox Talk Meetings
* Report Near Misses and Incidents (ERC’s) if required
* Participate in making plans where excavator is to be used
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Required adequate training according to LOLER Regulations 1998
* VHF certificate
* CPCS Card
10 hour shifts
