Corporate Tax Manager

Edinburgh - Hybrid

Permanent full-time position

£60,000 - £65,000 + strong benefits including up to 30% bonus, 10% pension, private healthcare and more.

Lorien's client, a market leading Financial Services Organisation, are looking for a Corporate Tax Manager to join their Tax Compliance and Advisory team.

In this role, the successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing tax adherence, aiding in project support, navigating tax risks, and leveraging technical and business acumen to assist senior leadership in strategic decisions.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting in the UK tax filing process for our diverse group entities, including life insurance firms, holding entities, financing providers, service corporations, and small-scale trading and investment ventures;
Facilitating engagement with HMRC for these entities, which encompasses managing communications and inquiries;
Contributing to the organization's comprehensive tax filing obligations, such as group relief, corporate interest limitation, and global reporting;
Offering insights on projects and extending support to the business concerning the aforementioned entities
Collaborating with and fostering the growth of junior and less seasoned team members;
Keeping abreast of professional knowledge amidst a landscape of rapidly evolving regulatory changes.

Role requirements:

A professional certification in taxation (such as CTA) or accounting (such as CA, ACA, or ACCA).
A background in a substantial corporate tax setting, whether internally or as part of a professional services firm/consultancy.
A keen interest in, and preferably experience with, process automation, enhancement, and support for transformation.
A fascination with the financial services industry, ideally coupled with some pertinent experience in the Life Assurance and Asset Management sectors.
The capability to adapt work schedules to meet pressing deadlines.
