Our client, who is a solution-based specialist, working in the social housing sector across the Northwest and Northeast is looking for suitably qualified Retrofit Coordinator/ Sustainability Manager, (L5 Retrofit Coordination accreditation) ideally from a ECO4 background with regeneration, retrofit, decarbonisation experience for their Northwest office.

Reporting to the Group Sustainability Director. this role will oversee the successful development and design of our retrofit and decarbonisation projects in the Northwest. This role also includes providing advice and support to operational teams on environment, sustainability and retrofit matters as well as assisting site teams with the delivery of fabric upgrades, energy efficiency measures and microgeneration works.

You will be responsible for overseeing the successful development and design of retrofit and decarbonisation projects. Provide advice and support to operational teams on environment, sustainability, and retrofit matters. Understand and apply the range of current and proposed sustainability related such as PAS2035, PAS2030 and Building Regulations. Maintain and build relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Support with internal and external reporting of our sustainability performance and progress. Be a pioneer on sustainable procurement, keeping informed of key sustainability trends in all tiers of the supply chain and beyond including waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy and collaborations with external companies for the latest industry sustainability developments. Assisting with the creation, development and implementation of environmental strategies, policies, and action plans (including carbon reduction). Identify sources of grant funding to support property retrofit and improvement projects. Assist with bids and tenders to provide the relevant support on sustainable projects. Develop case studies, presentations, and bulletins to promote, educate and raise awareness across the business of the impact of emerging climate, carbon, and environmental issues. Engaging with a range of key stakeholders including contractors, clients, regulatory bodies, to help drive performance ensuring best practice is shared across the business and project at all levels.

To qualify, you will ideally be from a ECO4 background, hold/be working towards a level 5 qualification in retrofit coordination or equivalent and have/gained experience in identifying, securing, and administering grant funding for energy efficiency retrofit. You will have experience of energy efficiency retrofit, gained within a social housing environment with the ability to carry out thermal bridging calculations and SAP modelling would be advantageous. Ideally you will have PAS2038 knowledge and have a strong knowledge of current environment and sustainability issues. You will possess good interpersonal and strong communication skills, excellent writing, and presentation skills. You will have a Demonstrable experience working in sustainability and the environment and experience in supporting projects to understand and improve environmental and social supply chain impacts. You will possess strong time management skills, allowing switching between a variety of tasks and meeting a combination of daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines. Must be analytical and problem solving with enthusiasm to enhance, improve, optimise, streamline. Demonstrate a flexible, self-motivating and agile attitude, allowing you to respond to client needs. Possess an inquisitive and curious personality, leading you to discover interesting content and provide original commentary. Build strong relationships with colleagues, mentoring and motivating, creating a team spirit, encouraging them to be at their best.

You will be required to visit the Northeast office one or twice a month
