VACANCY - CNC TURNER / MACHINE SETTER

LOCATION - Stockport

SALARY -Currently £(Apply online only).

Plenty of paid overtime available for those who want extra earning ability.

HOURS - 37 hours spread over 4 days. Mon-Thurs 7.30am to 5.15pm (30 minute lunch).

Very well established, highly successful global engineering manufacturer, have recently moved to brand new premises - these new state of the art premises have been purpose built internally specifically for the needs of the organisation. The Engineering and Fabrications teams will be working with world class equipment.

Job Overview:

Skilled Machine Setter (CNC Turner)

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Competent CNC Setter - Programming experience advantageous
* Ensure that daily output targets are achieved
* Ensure quality of product matches the engineering specification
* Ensure Health and Safety protocols are followed without exception
* Ensure 5s examples are being set and maintained
* Assist in reducing machine downtime within the setting process
* Working to and ensuring the standards of the quality procedure are reached
* Work with own initiative and gain understanding of company & manufacturing processes
* Able to work to drawings and technical specifications with minimum supervision
* Flexible approach to working across manufacturing when required to meet business growth

Required Qualifications/Experience:
* Engineering/Machining qualification preferred or equivalent work experience
* GCSE Maths/English
* IT Skills

Preferred Skills:

* Ability to prioritise
* Good manual dexterity
* Calm under pressure
* Frequently lift/move material up to 7.5Kgs
* Experienced in working to engineering drawings

* Experience in setting/operating various CNC including: Citizen/Doosan type machinery, Fanuc twin spindle, single and twin turret turning centres, 2 axis laths, Milling centres, Citizen sliding head machines, Mori-say multi spindle CNC turning centres.
* Programming experience is advantageous
