EXPERIENCED TRANSPORT PLANNER REQUIRED TO PLAN WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING COLLECTION SERVICES
JOB TITLE: Transport Planner / Traffic Controller - Waste & Recycling Logistics
SALARY: £29,710 plus enhanced overtime, 26 Days + B/H, Matched Pension, 4 x Salary Live Cover

YOUR PREVIOUS JOB MAY HAVE BEEN A: Transport Supervisor, Transport Controller, Transport Shift Manager, Depot Supervisor, Transport Planner, Traffic Controller, Logistics Team Leader, Transport Team Leader, Traffic Dispatcher, Logistics Planner, Dispatch Coordinator
HOURS: 37.5 Hours per Week, Shift A - Monday to Friday (06:00 – 14:00) / Shift B - Monday (12:00 – 18:00), Tuesday to Friday (11:00 – 18:00) & Saturday (06:00 - 12:00) - Shift rota A & B cycle every two weeks.
ROLE: Transport Planner / Traffic Controller - Waste & Recycling Logistics
You will be responsible for the day to day management of a team of drivers and the routing for a fleet of waste vehicles
Give work instructions and monitor the performance of drivers, i.e. briefing/debriefing during course of working day.
You will also be involved with the admin aspects of the position, ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed.
You will ensure the vehicles and drivers work within all transport legislation
Ensure that all health and safety policies are complied with.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Transport Planner / Traffic Controller - Waste & Recycling Logistics
Ideally you will have a background in waste and recycling
National CPC desirable but not necessary provided you have a good understanding of driver hours
Experience planning for and Coordinating drivers essential
IOSH/NEBOSH also considered an advantage
You will have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
