Job Title: Purchaser/Administrator
Location: Altrincham, United Kingdom
Our client, a leading provider of high-quality flooring solutions, is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Purchaser/Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's success and be a key player in our procurement and administrative processes.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment needed for daily operations
* Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality products
* Inputting orders onto Eque 2 Construct (Sage)
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained
* Process purchase orders, invoices, and other relevant documentation accurately and in a timely manner
* Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and general office support
* Collaborate with different departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide support and guidance as required
* Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product availability
* Assist in maintaining accurate records of purchases, expenses, and inventory levels
* Support the management team in analysing and optimising procurement processes and identifying costsaving opportunities
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the construction or flooring industry
* Previous experience inputting orders onto Eque2 Construct (Sage)
* Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping
* Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
* Knowledge of procurement best practices and understanding of supply chain management principles
* A proactive and problemsolving mindset to identify and resolve purchasing-related issues
* Strong analytical skills to analyse data and make informed purchasing decisions
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fastpaced environment

On offer:
* Salary £25,000-£29,000, dependant on experience

* Working hours are - Mon - Thurs 8:30am - 17:00pm , and finish half hour earlier on a Friday
