Business Development Manager required for an international packaging equipment manufacturer based in Taplow however the territory for this position will be the north of the UK, Manchester & Surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have a strong business development background ideally within a similar industry (Ideally protective packaging, courier, or logistics background.
Business Development Manager - Protective Packaging Position Overview
Create & implement a business plan for allocated territory to always maximise sales & deliver excellent standards of customer service & support.
identifying new business opportunities.
Maintain strong sales administration including use of CRM to follow up all leads, enquiries/quotes
Work closely with the site's internal teams.
Adopt a consultative approach with Customers in tailoring appropriate solutions to meet needs whilst developing/maintaining a strong knowledge of all packaging solutions and full product range
Reports to Sales Manager.
Cold call as appropriate within your geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
Meet potential Customers growing your network
Identify potential Customers, and the decision makers within client companies
Plan approaches, sales presentations, and pitches
Meet yearly and monthly sales targets assigned to you
Business Development Manager - Protective Packaging Position Requirements
Experienced Sales/Business Development professional
Good communication skills, attendance and time keeping
Ability to work alone and manage one's own schedule
Good organisational and self-motivational skills
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Efficient in Word, Excell & CRM
Efficient in Sales demonstrations & Presentation
Knowledge of Packaging, Courier or Distribution sector would be advantageous
Business Development Manager - Protective Packaging Position Remuneration
Salary circa £35k with an uncapped commission structure for all new business.
