Our client, a social housing provider in Manchester, is looking for a Housing Support Worker to work within their Young Persons Foyer for 6 months
The rota runs from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 8pm.
Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker include:
Managing a caseload of around 12 clients aged 16- 25 years
Liaising with Local Authorities housing teams surrounding new applications
Supporting in the maintenance of the client waiting list
Assessing new clients support needs
Ensuring clients understand, and abide by their tenancy agreements
Enabling clients to access employment, education and training opportunities
Safeguarding clients and reporting any concerns
Monitoring tenants rent accounts and supporting them to maximise their income
Promoting clients to live independently and build lasting life skills
Essential criteria of the Housing Support Worker include:
Enhanced DBS with Barred List (Children)
Experience within a similar supported living environment
