Mechanical Design Engineer

Vertical Recruitment is working closely with a leading independent Building Services Consultancy in Manchester, due to increase work load they are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Building Services Engineer at Intermediate to Senior level.
Established over 15 years ago, the company have experienced steady growth and now have an established team of circa 25 engineers, they have forged an excellent industry reputation. Current projects are a range of commercial, residential, education and healthcare schemes, these include a range of high profile, net zero carbon and landmark developments across the Northwest and beyond.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious mechanical design engineer to play a key role in the design and delivery of a variety of building services projects. What you'll be doing:
* Working as part of a design team delivering the full range of mechanical services from concept stage through to detailed design.
* Using software packages such as, CAD, Revit MEP.
* Liaising closely with other professionals, including architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams
* Attending a range of project and technical meetings
* Working to Health and safety guidelines.
* Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint
What we need from you:
* At least 2 years experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer, gained with a Consultancy or M&E Design Build Contractor.
* Experience with running projects including calculations, drawings, specifications.
* Accredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)
* AutoCAD and Hevacomp experience.
