Data is primarily collected from households either face to face or by telephone using computer assisted interviewing, as well as collected from passengers at air, sea, and rail ports. The interviewer communities are large in number, totalling over 1,000; they are a diverse community in terms of their range of skills, capabilities, and the backgrounds they come from.
