Are you an electrically biased technician, based in the Northwest who has an interest of working on Modern Trains?
The Opportunity

Electrical Technician required in the Northwest, to complete essential fault-finding, testing and repair activities on rolling stock associated, electrical systems, on a brand new fleet introduction project.
Your role will ensure these state-of-the-art, new vehicles, are in full working condition, with no electrical faults to allow them to be put onto the mainline as soon as possible.

Locations:
Crewe, Manchester, Chester, Liverpool, Wigan, Preston, Warrington

Role and Responsibilities

Undertake fault finding and identify the associated repair required
Undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems on the train and its interfaces
Perform secondary checks of the work of colleagues (four-eyes principle)
Answer technical questions from colleagues and handle practical questions asked by the Client
Risk identification within own scope of works, assessment, provision of options to mitigate or resolve taking into account compliance with relevant legislation
Provide mentoring and support for other members of the production team.
The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have an electrical bias, and have experience in carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
Essential

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
Fault finding and root cause analysis experience
Able to interpret in depth electrical schematics
Use of diagnostic software
Use of test and measuring equipment
