If you’re looking to excel as a Production Team Leader, have enough about you to recognise what a decent production environment should look like in terms of KPIs and are comfortable managing the people side of things with training, development and things like disciplinaries, you might want to keep reading.
In an ideal world, you’d be looking to consolidate your knowledge and experience you’ve likely gained from being an operator and using it to guide your team forwards while also accelerating in your own career. You’ll be responsible for ensuring quality and accuracy and keeping it consistent across the board, identifying areas for improvement and working with the team to execute plans to make those improvements.
The business is on a huge growth trajectory and things move fast so you’d need to be comfortable with high pace and volume both across the production line and the business in general. You need to be from a manufacturing background and it’d be ideal if you have automotive experience but this isn’t a dealbreaker.
Culture is a massive thing to them and arguably more important than the technical stuff (though you’d obviously need to understand the job) and they work really hard to keep it a nice place to work. You’d be based at the site in Bolton and would be on a 1 week shift rotation from earlier, lates and nights. Salary is around £32-35k initially, though that’ll likely increase after probation and there’s a decent bonus and other benefits too.
