The opportunity:

We're on the lookout for an Electrical Inspector to join our Manufacturing Team. This is an exciting moment to become part of our team, especially as we operate from our cutting-edge Bolton Manufacturing facility.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of the deliverable hardware by overseeing all necessary elements to achieve and maintain that standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

Product Certification: Certifying the product according to the established certification
Assembly Examination: Thoroughly examining the assembly for correctness, including verifying all types of electrical connections.
Finish Inspection: Inspecting all parts for proper finishing, detecting any faulty finishing, painting defects, or surface deterioration.
Damage Assessment: Checking for physical damage to ensure the integrity of the product.
Intermediate Inspection: Conducting intermediate inspection checks alongside product certification activities.
Documentation: Checking, completing, and certifying all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
Defect Control: Controlling defect items by segregating them from good products and raising defect reports as necessary.
Record Maintenance: Generating and maintaining relevant data records, defect reports, inspection documentation, and history sheets.
Tool Usage: Carefully using and maintaining specialised inspection tools required for the role.
Audits: Participating in regular audits to maintain product certification and approval.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
Timelines: Meeting inspection times to ensure efficiency in the production process.
Quality Standards: Upholding the highest workmanship standards and product quality throughout the inspection process.
Safety: Maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Housekeeping: Adhering to a good housekeeping policy to ensure a clean and organised work

Here's what we're looking for from you:

Formal Technical Education: A formal technical engineering or craft apprenticeship up to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 is a mandatory requirement.
Experience: Proven and demonstrable experience as a skilled individual in the field.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating customer focus and a collaborative nature.
Planning and Organisation: Strong planning and organising skills to ensure efficient workflow and task completion.
Proactive Problem-Solving: Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to working collaboratively to achieve business objectives.
Versatility: Possession of a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks as required.
Continues Improvement: Willingness to contribute to an environment of continuous process improvement, suggesting and implementing enhancements where possible.
IPC 610 Certification: Preferred certification or training in IPC 610 standards, demonstrating proficiency in electronics assembly and inspection processes.

Due to the nature of the business, this particular vacancy requires the applicant as a minimum to be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship and capable of achieving the clearance levels mentioned above
