Our client is a global leader in Defence and Aerospace manufacturing.  An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Support Engineer to join the Ceramics Development team. The role offers excellent progression and development into advanced levels of engineering.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Learn the ceramics theory and apply it in the manufacturing field.
Learn to operate different production / testing equipment as part of the manufacturing/test process of the products.
Document test, processes and present reports for products as required using SharePoint documentation system.
Carry out qualification procedures for products / materials guided by the production engineering department.
A part of the production engineering team, the post holder will guarantee efficiency, productivity, quality, and profitability and enable products to be produced at the rate needed to meet customer demand.
Establish productive, dynamic, working relationships with the Engineering and Manufacturing departments, maintaining regular associations through meetings and communications to discuss any issues.
Be aware of Data that can lead to an opportunity for improvement – this can include non-conformance, yield/scrap data, improvements to documentation/drawings, training, efficiency of process equipment
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS 
Ideally Degree/HND qualified.
Experienced within an Manufacturing Environment in a similar job role.
Skilled driving results and improvements.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Knowledge of ERP systems would be beneficial.
