Job Title: Chemical Process Operator
Location: Sunderland
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - 2 days 2 nights 6am-6pm
Job Type: Permanent
About: A leading chemical manufacturer company who prides themselves on providing services to ensure a better world. Currently, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Chemical Process Operator to join their dynamic, fun and friendly team.
Responsibilities:
Operational Control: Operate and monitor chemical process equipment, specifically focusing on distillation columns.
Execute standard operating procedures to ensure the efficient and safe production of chemicals.
Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot process issues to maintain optimal production conditions.
Health and Safety: Adhere to and enforce strict health and safety protocols in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
Identify and report potential hazards, and contribute to the development of safety procedures.
Sampling and Quality Control: Collect samples at various stages of the production process for analysis.
Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet established specifications.
Record and maintain accurate data related to sampling and quality control procedures.
Shift Work: Work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, ensuring 24/7 coverage.
Respond promptly to operational issues during shifts and collaborate with team members to resolve them efficiently.
Overtime: Have the flexibility and willingness to work overtime when required.
