The Organisation:
A responsible and progressive charity, aiming to provide social justice and support to vulnerable groups of people across the UK; victims of domestic violence, ex-offenders, young people, people with mental health difficulties and those struggling with substance misuse. They are a well-established organisation with a positive market reputation and over 20 years of experience in supported living.
This company are currently operating supported housing services for rehabilitating ex-offenders that have left a prison setting. The service ensures the instilling of independent living skills, positive wellbeing and personal development within ex-offenders, working towards their bettering of life and prevention of repeat offending.

The Opportunities:
Housing Management Workers will be working part-time hours; 35-hours per week, with flexible days worked between Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM. 
Competitive pay rates; Housing Management Workers are paid £17.21
Contract length will be 3-6-months long before consideration for extension or permanence.
You will be based across services in Sunderland and South Tyneside   
The Responsibilities:
Within your Housing Management Worker job, you will support social housing tenants in managing their tenancies, applying for financial benefits and signposting to relevant financial support services.
Completing initial and regular assessments on potential and actual housing management support requirements, including risks and eligibility.
Working with an extended housing management team to ensure correct tenancy issuing, sign-up and renewal for social housing tenants.
Communicating and reinforcing tenancy obligations, including rent collection and maintenance.
The Requirements:
Updated knowledge and experience of working practice across a supported housing or general needs social hosing setting.
Understanding of welfare and financial benefits available to vulnerable individuals and low-income households.
The Desirables:
 
Experience in roles such as Housing Support Officer’s, Tenancy Sustainment Officer’s etc, with a proven track record of quality housing management skill.
Housing membership or relevant qualifications, including CIH (Chartered Institution of Housing) or BA in Housing Management.
Understanding of relevant legal framework and eviction/notice processes.
