We are working with a successful Insurance company in the search for several Insurance Account Managers within the Personal Lines Team.
Your role will be to renew and retain held business, to increase the wealth of the department by introducing new clients which will in turn contribute to the growth of the Personal Lines Team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Have the ability to renew existing policies.
* Be able to invite renewals and gather information from clients.
* Have the ability to contact prospective new clients and win their business.
* To understand the nature of client’s businesses, minimum regulatory standards, and requirements in respect of wording, excess, limit of indemnity and wherever possible exceed them.
* Have the ability to build and maintain on going relationships with clients.
* Negotiate with underwriters/insurers to gain the best possible terms for the client.
* Refer any business that is being moved away from the holding market/panel to a renewals team member and a Senior Broker if new business for sign off before moving.
* Be able to produce documentation for Insurers/Underwriters at all stages of negotiations.
* Have the ability to check and verify policies, quotes and documentation received or produced internally.
* To act with due skill, care & diligence at all times.
* To conduct all business in line with the company’s Practices, Policies and Standards Manual, Staff Handbook, procedures and FCA regulations.
* To ensure documentation to Insurers and or Underwriters is sent and responded to in the agreed time framework.
* To forward to broker support appropriate and completed work documents/paperwork for processing and company records update.
* To keep detailed telephone and/or meeting notes of all conversations relating to queries or matters of concern and save to support an audit trail.
* To understand and check/validate Insurer Policies and documents.
Experience required:
* To understand key Personal Lines Insurance products and their availability
* Have the ability to identify needs and demands of a client’s personal needs.
* Have the ability to input and understand personal lines online systems for new business, MTAs, and renewals.
* To understand the personal lines Panel
* Have the ability to identify non-Premier personal lines Insurance and actions required.
* To understand the principles of personal lines insurance
* Have the ability to create specialist quotations and policy documents.
This position is a permanent role working Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.00pm - 35 hours
