Hiring an experienced CNC Machinist to work for an award-winning heavy engineering subcontractor with one of the largest machining capacities in the UK, evolved from a family business.
  
Working on site at North Skelton this is a shift work position including weekends and nights, offering a competitive salary, benefits, shift allowances and flexible working options.
  
Operating either a vertical or horizontal borer you will be comfortable in a heavy engineering workshop, with machining components over 5 tonnes in weight and over 1m diameter, with the ability to work safely following EHSQ management systems.
  
You will be:

Reading drawings, following route cards, discussing and agreeing methodology with managers and planning appropriate tooling and works
Using a range or work-holding devices to set large castings, fabrications, profile or forgings
Programming machines using Siemens, Fanuc of Heidenhain controls
Carrying out quality and final stage checks   
You will be apprentice-trained, with experience of operating, setting and programming machine tools, or a skilled manual machinist who has not yet learned CNC programming, as this training can be provided.
