Commercial Talent Solutions is working in partnership with one of the most established construction names in the North East of England, who have an enviable track record in delivering high-quality construction solutions on projects across the civil infrastructure spectrum.

With an order book that will double over the next 24 months and with multiple £40m+ projects on the horizon across the region, this business will be best placed to capitalise on infrastructure investments earmarked for the North East.

Together, we are seeking candidates across the commercial spectrum, from Assistant Quantity Surveyor through to Managing Quantity Surveyor. Candidates from alternative sector backgrounds such as general civil infrastructure, roads & sewers, energy, M&E, build or residential are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with site / project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.

* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects in the water sector.

* Procure materials, subcontractors, and services while ensuring value for money.

* Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.

* Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk management strategies.

* Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier contracts.

* Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

* Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting.

* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a preferred focus on Water, Civil Infrastructure or M&E.

* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

* Proficiency in relevant software tools.

* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
