We are working with our client who are a leading CNC and Manufacturing business seeking a talented and motivated Production / manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, optimizing production efficiency, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between design, engineering, and production departments.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement production processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and quality.
* Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of products.
* Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
* Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
* Conduct root cause analysis for production failures and implement preventive measures.
* Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
* Provide technical support to production staff and assist in resolving technical issues.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all production activities.
* Participate in new product development projects and provide input on manufacturing feasibility.
Qualifications:
* Degree or a Higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in production engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and quality control.
* Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other engineering tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
