We are looking for a motivated and time served Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field.
You will report to an Engineering Manager, and you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation with a bias on the electrical side. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.
Job Summary / Key Responsibilities
* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.
* Confer with engineers/contractors and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve machine malfunctions and provide technical information.
* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation.
* Ability to follow and fault find using electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and engineering drawings
* Talented problem solver / fault finding
* Provide feedback to managers with a degree of accuracy.
* Able to recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
* Establish and co-ordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule and supply of materials required for maintaining machines and equipment in the prescribed condition.
* Collaborate with electrical/mechanical engineers and other personnel to identify, define and solve machine related problems.
* Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on all Plant, equipment and buildings across multiple sites.
* Must have a can do, will do attitude.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Mechanically biased with electrical knowledge.
* Previous experience, operating conventional lathes and milling equipment.
* Previous experience of working in a lean manufacturing background.
* Previous experience of working in a fast pace manufacturing environment.
* Ability to work at height.
* Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and unsupervised.
* Ability to manage projects to tight deadlines and to co-ordinate personnel.
* Quality and Health & Safety awareness.
* Experience on hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
* Experience with PLC machinery
* Experience with CNC
* ONC/HNC educated in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
* 18th edition
* Time served
