Foundry Operative

Sterling Recruitment are delighted to be working with our fantastic client who are based in Gateshead.

Due to substantial growth our client are looking to add a Foundry Operative to their team on a permanent basis.

The role will consist of working a 3 shift rotation once fully trained.
The role is 37hrs per week, working 3 shifts when fully trained. (06:00 – 13:45, 13:30 – 21:15 & 21:00 – 06:15) . Pay rate of £12.72 per hour with a weekly shift allowance when working shifts of £41.81 per week

This is a permanent opportunity from day one.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

· Prepare all ladles required for casting

· Pour metal into moulds/furnaces as required

· Repair ladles as required

· Drive overhead crane

· Drive mini digger to KO ladles

· Ensure that a good standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times

· All tasks to be completed in the safest manner, adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations

· Experience of working within a Foundry is preferred but not essential

· Overhead crane driver Preferred but not essential

· Experience of hand and pneumatic tools preferred but not essentiaL
