Chemist

A Chemist is required to join a recognised manufacturing company in the Aerospace industry, who supply a wide range of their components to some of the most recognised Aerospace names globally. Offering a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum DOE, pension scheme, ongoing training and support and an attractive employee benefits program this is the ideal opportunity for a candidate who has an engineering or manufacturing background.

You will be responsible for dealing with all on site chemical activities and adding value to the chemical team ensuring all customer expectations and NADCAP requirements are adhered to with the following duties.

Responsibilities of the Site Chemist

Support in preparation for NADCAP and customer audits
Perform tests such as Salt Spray Testing, Coating Weights, Paint Adhesions, Surface Roughness & more
Input and review customer specs and approvals to ensure compliance to customer specifications
Plan work and re - prioritise workload when unplanned customer issues arise
Promote continuous improvement activities and support with training and coaching where required
Drive compliance through good practice
Follow Health and Safety procedures Requirements of the Site Chemist

Formal qualification In Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Career history in the Aerospace industry
Knowledge of NADCAP or chemical processes
Understanding of NDT processes
Experience of AS9100, ISO9001 and internal auditing
Lean Six Sigma, 5S, FMEA, SPC experience desirableIn return as the Site Chemist, you will receive the following salary and benefits
