A great opportunity for a Credit Controller to join a well-established and employee focussed business here in Peterborough.

This is a key role within a friendly and busy finance department.

We are seeking an organised individual who is able to prioritise an active and changing work load. You will be responsible for liaising with suppliers and customers, ensuring all communication is effectively shared with internal colleagues across the business.

Due to the requirements of this role, we are seeking an individual with previous credit control experience.

The Job – Credit Controller:

* Responsible for managing and supporting a client portfolio, ensuring customers adhere to payment terms and remain within credit limits.

* Work in partnership with internal departments to ensure customer queries are resolved efficiently.

* Oversee the collection of all debts and customer payments.

* Update and maintain records of all collection activity.

* Process credit and debit card payments by telephone.

* Escalate disputes/issues on complex accounts.

* Open new customer accounts.

* Support with general finance/team administration.

The Individual – Credit Controller:

* Good commercial understanding of credit control functions.

* Previous experience within a credit control position.

* Strong planning and organisational skills.

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

* Able to prioritise and re-organise work load in line with changing business requirements.

* A strong and proactive team player.
