Graduate Electrical Design Engineer
Due to continued expansion, our award-winning client based in Peterborough currently has an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer. As a Graduate Electrical Designer, you will provide electrical service support to all departments in the UK and abroad, primarily focusing on electrical design, programming, and testing of their machines.
Job Responsibilities:
Support all departments in the organisation with electrical requests
Collaborate with all departments on customer projects
Assist in managing customer projects from an electrical perspective
Support with designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical drawings using computer-assisted engineering software, estimating material, labour costs, and project timescales
Coordinate the ordering, panel build, and installation
Design and conduct tests
Create technical files
Ensure projects (electrical design) meet electrical safety regulations
Conduct feasibility studies for new technical innovations.
Person Specification:
Degree educated in a relevant engineering field
Some experience with electrical design, through internships, projects, or coursework
Knowledge of electrical design software and tools is advantageous
Basic understanding of electrical safety regulations preferred
Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits:
Salary up to £35,000
The role is full-time based on a 37-hour week
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:45
Company pension scheme after 1 years’ service
In addition to the usual public holidays, currently 8 per annum, there is an annual leave allowance of 21 days
