Project Engineer
Location: Great Yarmouth
Reports To: Senior Project Engineer
Are you ready to lead projects from a technical standpoint, collaborating with various departments to bring customer requirements to life? We're seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join a dynamic team at one of the leading marine engineering firms. As a Project Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of translating client needs into actionable plans, ensuring project compliance, and spearheading testing and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate client requirements into actionable plans for the team.
Collaborate with Project Managers and Teams to ensure project compliance.
Review technical drawings and documents, ensuring accuracy before release.
Develop project-related testing procedures and manuals.
Verify bills of materials in line with project requirements.
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, resolving technical issues as needed.
Conduct internal inspection and testing of project-related systems and equipment.
Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests with customer representatives.
Perform site commissioning when required, particularly for complex projects.
Maintain and review technical specifications and industry standards. Job Description:
Monitor the Tech Support email account and address technical issues promptly.
Fulfill all job responsibilities according to organizational procedures.
Periodical overtime may be required during busy periods. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Essential
HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
Experience in a project-driven environment.
Previous experience as a test engineer or similar role.
Proficiency in electrical testing and producing technical documents.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively.
Proficient in MS Office Package.
Proactive and logical approach to tasks. Desirable
Experience with PLC systems and HMI systems/IoT.
Knowledge of cable and protection equipment sizing.
Familiarity with power distribution systems and Hazardous area requirements.
Experience working to national and international quality engineering standards.
