Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Ipswich
Type: Contract
Salary: £400 - £450 Per shift
Contract Length: 6 months

Our client, a global Commercial and Planning Consultancy head quartered in London, has asked us to supply them with a top class Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major Civil Engineering contract, working on build of a Power Substation in Ipswich.  Extensive NEC contract experience is essential.  This is a 6 month contract with the potential to roll.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Ensuring actual costs are accurately monitored and assessed.
- Providing reports on actual costs vs. estimates.
- Identifying underlying reasons for any variance & resolutions, highlighting, challenging and resolving variance to latest plans
- Ensuring proper records are kept & maintained so that financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available.
- Liaising with the Project team to ensure any Contractual notifications required are issued in accordance with the Contract.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Experience required:
- Minimum 5 years post qualified experience
- Degree educated
- NEC Contract experience essential
- Excellent communication skills
