Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Service Coordinator to join our team. As a Service Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating service requests, managing work orders, and ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks. You will also be responsible for ordering parts, scheduling engineers, and maintaining excellent communication with customers.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate service requests from customers, both reactive and planned maintenance.
* Schedule engineers and technicians for service visits, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
* Order necessary parts and materials for repairs and maintenance tasks.
* Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and customer communications.
* Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on service progress, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Monitor service performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
* Collaborate with other departments such as sales and operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the plant hire or equipment rental industry.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
* Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, inventory management, and customer relationship management (CRM).
* Knowledge of plant equipment and machinery is a plus.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
