Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at one of our sites based in Nottinghamshire.

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to fabricate, assemble, and mill components.

Shift pattern:

- Monday to Friday 7am-4pm with an early finish on Friday at 2pm - pay rates £11.44/h

- Monday to Thursday 9pm-7am - pay rates £12.44/h

Duties:
- Operate and monitor machines to ensure proper functioning
- Set up machines according to specifications
- Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools and power tools
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on machinery
- Conduct quality checks on finished products
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator or similar role
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar software for machine operation
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
