Electrician (Telemetry / Systems) - Midland’s patch – 40 Hour Basic Week - £40,000-£46,000 basic (potentially negotiable for the right person) - 33 days holiday - Pension - Van, phone, laptop - Progression

J3A Recruitment are proud and excited to be working with a well-established and highly recognised MEICA business who have been doing exceptionally well on a number of frameworks over recent years.

With recent wins from new and existing customers, they are now looking at expanding their engineering arm and keen to employ, an expert Electrician who holds experience in an industrial surrounding.

The right person, can find themselves working in a senior type role where they will support younger / less experienced engineers on the ground. You will lead by the front and be the face of the company in front of their customers on site.

Typical Duties of the Electrician

The Electrician / Technician will hold a prominent technical role within the company and should set examples of conduct and professionalism. For individual projects they will report to the assigned Project Manager, however, in time, it will be expected that they will accept ownership of certain lower valued contracts.

Day to day responsibilities of the Electrician

* Carry out electrical installation work to BS7671.

* Carry out installation, service and repair to a variety of low voltage electrical control systems.

* Carry out installation, replacement, and modifications to various Telemetry based systems.

* Carry out installation and commissioning of a variety of instrumentation systems, including pressure, level, temperature, flow & actuated knife gate valves.

* Ability to fault find in control panels with / without electrical schematics.

* MCC / control panel modifications

To be successful as an Electrician

* Full Electrical Qualifications

* Open to travel - Patch will mainly be Severn Trent but can be expected to travel further afield on occasions (not excessive)

* ECS Gold Card

* Previous experience in the water industry would be beneficial

* Industrial experience is essential

* Industrial Controls and Telemetry Experience is a must

* Computer literate / good IT skills.

* Willing and able to train others.

* UK Driving License.
