Role: AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Sherwood, Nottingham, 3 days remote/2 days at HQ

Salary: circa £50k-£55k + Bonus

The role:

A newly created position for a Cloud Engineer to ensure the business can provide fantastic services to their customers. This role will focus on ensuring the reliability and availability of the organisations cloud systems and services (largely AWS based, with some GCP).

The business operates 3 days remote, with 2 days per week (flexible) in one of their HQ's, ideally Sherwood, Nottingham.

Who the role will suit:

Well suited to a Cloud Engineer, SRE or DevOps Engineer that enjoys working for customer-centric product based businesses. Someone that likely enjoys working part of small cross-functional teams

Key areas of the role include:

Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on a multi-cloud infrastructure environment
Monitor system alerts, respond to incidents, and troubleshoot any issues that arise
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve problems quickly and minimise downtime
Contribute to the team's knowledge base and share best practices to improve overall reliability
Work on problem management, including identifying recurring issues and implementing long-term solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and support, to ensure smooth and efficient operations

Key Skills / Experience:

Experience as a Cloud Engineer, SRE or DevOps Engineer who has experience working within AWS based cloud environments
Experienced in SysAdmin, or knowledge of Windows and Linux based OS
Familiarity with Automation tools (Puppet or Chef or Ansible)
Any AWS certifications
