Fawkes & Reece are proud to be partnering with a highly respected leading regeneration and residential construction contractor in their search for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their team covering the East Midlands. This exciting opportunity has arisen within my clients growing Refurbishment division for a Managing Quantity Surveyor delivering multi scope activity.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Quantity Surveying department, ensuring that the company's contractual and financial interests are best served. You will oversee the project reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate composition of trading results, and presentation of Management accounts and forecasts by the region.

About The Role

Reporting to Commercial Manager
Managing a commercial team of varying levels across multiple schemes
Responsibility for overseeing commercial project management on multiple schemes including ensuring timely provision of the following: monthly cost value reconciliations, cashflow monitoring, monthly and quarterly forecasts and monthly application for payment.
Manage / mentor members of commercial team as required.
Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy.

Requirments

Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and have experience of sub-contract orders, understanding the buying and estimating process.
You will be able to manage the surveying department across the region and be comfortable with recruiting, training, and developing commercial teams.
You will be able to prepare and understand financial reports and have knowledge and understanding of claims and dispute resolution.
