Madisons Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our client’s team on a permanent basis in Cambridge. Responsibilities:
Produce detailed tender bids.
Attend mid and post-tender meetings, and manage post-tender control.
Interface with both existing and prospective clients.
Manage the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines met.
Demonstrate a broad knowledge of the industry and experience across various sectors.
Maintain a wide network of suppliers and subcontractors.
Understand associated mechanical services.
Ensure tenders are financially sound with strong commercial acumen.
Adapt flexibly to meet deadlines.
Proficient in computer use.
Issue and update tender documents via an electronic control system.
Work collaboratively as part of a team, promoting good relationships and a friendly working environment.
Requirements:
Background in contracting.
Formal qualifications not essential, though HNC/HND or similar in a building services-related field is advantageous.
Proven track record in a similar role is essential.
