Freelance Site Engineer

Unite People are working with tier one construction contractor to recruit a freelance Site Engineer to work on new industrial building and road connection in the East Midlands. Due to the associated roadworks connections; roadworks/ 278 works experience is essential.

You will be a part of new-build steel frame building, including associated groundworks, foundations, 278 works, highway connections and roadworks. You will be an integral part of the team, dealing with the project management team, other Engineers on site, sub-contractors and some client interaction.

Qualifications or Required Experience:

* CSCS Card

* SMSTS

* First Aid

* HND, HNC or Civil Engineering degree is preferred

* Previous experience as an Engineer, setting out and QA of 278 works, associated highways, groundworks, bolts and steel erection.

* Ability to work under deadlines, organising and prioritising deadlines to meet construction programme targets

* Understanding of setting out, using and EDM/ Total station.

* Preferably provide laptop and surveying software

You will ideally be within commuting distance of the project, and have previous experience of delivering construction projects.
