Job Title: Hybrid Purchase Ledger Analyst
Reporting to: Assistant Manager
Location: Derby
Job Type: Permanent, full time - Hybrid
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 - Dependent on experience
Overview:
A great opportunity to join a well-established business in Derby as a purchase ledger analyst has become available. Offering up to £28,000, the successful candidate will posses a keen eye for detail and the ability to make decisions through data analyses within the purchase ledger function. Candidates need to have previous relevant UK experience in a similar role.
Duties:
* Working competency with Excel, Tableau and Cognos would be advantageous
* Review purchase requisitions raised in Oracle for general ledger coding and purchasing classification
* Produce vendor analysis reports and requisition KPI’s
* Have a good understanding of remit
* Extract Data required for SOX Audit and liaised with internal/external auditors when required
* Converting the purchase requisition to a valid purchase order once verified
* Understand the full purchase ledger process
* Ensure compliance with SOX principles and procedures
* Assist with software improvement process and functionality of current system
* Building a good working relationship with the vendors and internal customers
* Work collaboratively with operational site teams, managers/directors, and financial accountants regarding the purchase ledger
* Act as a key point of contact regarding PL queries on requisitions
* Analyse vendor data to identify purchasing opportunities across UK & Ireland company entities
Person Specification:
* Good knowledge of double entry, general ledger journals and reconciliation of purchase ledger balance sheet accounts
* Educated to a good general standard
* Good working knowledge of software packages including Excel, Word and other MS applications
* Good planning and organisational skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Able to work under pressure towards deadlines
Desired criteria:
* Exposure to international markets
* Part AAT Qualified
* Car and License
